On Course Golf Lessons on our 3 hole academy course
A great opportunity to test your golfing skills is to have a playing lesson on our 3 hole academy course. Providing the chance to get an on course playing experience.

Deer Park Golf divides its courses according to a color-coded grading system:

Green – Beginners – As a new entrant to the game of golf we would recommend participation for beginners in one of our six week Introduction to Golf Group Classes which provide an overview of how to play, which clubs to use for which shots and a dictionary for all the new terms that you will hear on a Golf Course. Classes will normally be held on our Short Course, a 12 hole course which has a target of 3 shots per hole.

Blue – Competent –  Developing control of your short game, you are now ready to take on the challenge of 18 holes on the Pitch & Putt course which requires the focus to maintain concentration throughout the 18 holes. Knowledge of the short game and putting is recommended.

Red – Adept – Now very able in your game, it is time to introduce the longer shots and get ready to drive. Put it all together on the St Fintan’s 9 hole course which is just over 3,000 metres in length mainly par 4 holes. The course layout provides the opportunity to develop a more strategic approach to play while considering which clubs to play at different holes.

Black – Proficient – Welcome to the trials and tribulations of being completely engaged in the game of golf which is the challenge that you will face on a regular basis playing on our flagship Deer Park 18 hole golf course. Welcome to the world of working towards getting your personal best each and every time you play.   Remember, you are in good company, the challenge is the same with the biggest and the best!
